Sponsoring a Student

Sponsoring a child costs $1,800 per year, and covers all of the student's costs during that time. Your Sponsorship provides tuition at Uganda's best schools, room and board, medical care, books, school supplies, uniforms and shoes, counseling, transportation to and from school and workshops, food during school breaks, after-school clubs, and ADI's leadership workshops.

Sponsors have regular personal contact with their students, and receive updates on their progress from our staff. Many sponsors and students form life-long bonds, and some sponsors even choose to visit their students at ADI's workshops in Uganda!

Group Sponsorship

Some donors choose to sponsor an ADI student together with a group of friends. Pursuing philanthropy with friends is a great way to deepen your relationships and support the causes you care about together. If you’d like more information about how your office, fantasy football league, book club, softball team, or other group can sponsor a student, please reach out to us at 212.255.5948 or admin@africandreaminitiative.org.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match their employees’ charitable contributions on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis as a benefit of employment. To set up a matching gift, the donor usually must obtain a form from the company’s personnel office and send the form to ADI. ADI then submits the completed form to the company’s matching gift department, and the company sends a check directly to ADI. To find out if your company provides matching gifts, contact your personnel office.

Corporate Sponsorship

There are many ways your company can help support ADI. For example, a gift of $10,000 buys school supplies for all of our students for one year, or all of their uniforms, personal supplies, & toiletries for one year. A gift of $15,000 fully funds our two annual student leadership workshops for all of our students. A gift of $25,200 sponsors all expenses for 14 of our brilliant students for a full year, and a gift of $40,000 covers all expenses for 22 of those brilliant students.
